DAY 1

SONG:  "I love to eat, eat, eat, apples and bananas"
BOOK:  "The Giving Tree"
ACTIVITY:  Bingo Dabber A...Use a red bingo dabber to dab circles for apples onto a letter A.  Then add stems and leaves.  We also practised finding the letter A among other letters...(hide and seek A).

DAY 2

SONG: "One little, two little, three little apples"
BOOK:  "Little Apple Goat"
ACTIVITY: Apple seeds on the A...cut out 2 A's - 1 out of white, the other out of red (we didn't have red or green and used orange instead).  Glue apple seeds on.

DAY 3

SONG:  recap previous songs from days 1 and 2
BOOK:  "Chicka-Chicka-Boom-Boom" - identify the A
ACTIVITY:  Apple and worm...cut an apple out of cardboard...paint it red, stem brown, leaf green.  Cut out a hole for the worm.

DAY 4

SONG:  "I'm a little apple"
BOOK:  Allow child to pick one of his favourites from this week.
ACTIVITY:  Apple tree...trace and cut child's arm and hand out of brown construction paper.  Cut a green blob out of green paper.  Allow child to thumbprint with red paint (these are the apples)...can add stems and leaf omto apples.
